The Sander and Matits Burn Foundation sends young burn survivors to summer camp and survivors and their families to the Phoenix Burn Congress so they can receive the knowledge and emotional support needed for burn recovery.

We are two gentlemen that were burned as children and would like to make a difference in young burn survivors' lives by showing them there is a life after being burned. Nothing heals burn survivors like other burn survivors. Our message is simple; we would like to aid survivors in getting back to normal lives after a burn injury. We can help, with your assistance, to make the burn recovery easier.

Our nonprofit foundation creates scholarships so burn survivors can attend summer camp with children just like them and we send children and their families to the Phoenix World Burn Congress each year.

The Phoenix World Burn Congress is an annual, international conference that brings together 900 burn survivors, their families, caregivers, burn care professionals, and firefighters. The purpose is to offer support, increase their knowledge of burn recovery, and share inspiring stories. For many burn survivors, it is their first opportunity to connect with others on the journey of burn recovery. Joe and Drew will be taking a family to the World Burn Congress in Anaheim, California. Thank you for making it a memorable event for them.

A message in a difficult time

I hope this message finds you safe and healthy during these trying times. Even though here at the Foundation we are unable to volunteer our time at the hospital(s), we continue to look for other ways to give back to the community and support the front-line workers. Hopefully in the near future we will all be able to get some normalcy back in our lives. Until that time comes, we here at the Foundation, hope everyone stays safe and healthy and, as always, we are grateful for all of your continued support.
